One Community: Annual Women's Circle & Celebration

 What: Women's Celebration - Networking, Sharing, Food and Drinks When: Saturday, October 27, 2007 1-5:00 PM Where: 7651 West 41st Avenue Wheat Ridge Why: Join women from 6 continents in a time of celebration and sharing around the theme of One Community Fee: FREE just bring a dish to share What to Bring: Something that represents "one community of women" to put in the center of the circle (it will be made into a collage after circle) and food. There’s strength in numbers! Women in the Denver/Boulder area have an opportunity to join together locally and connect to a worldwide community of women from over 50 countries via the matrix of Gather the Women. One Community is the theme of the 2007 Women’s Congresses that are hosted on six continents. The first event for the Denver/Boulder area will be held the weekend of October 27th. Who are these women? One of the early founders, Carol Hansen Grey, described Gather the Women as "… an active, growing hub of possibility, rich with diversity, filled with courage, strength, compassion, dedication and a commitment to balance, harmony and peace." Founding member, Marilyn Nyborg adds: "We seek not to change minds but to connect hearts." The Women’s Congresses are hosted by regional coordinators at the local level. The coordinators determine a common theme then gather the women in their areas to expand it further. We are looking for a few good women from the Denver and Boulder areas to serve on a steering committee to further develop the local event, and more to join the celebration on October 27th.
